We are currently seeking highly motivated VP to lead our rapidly growing Search Marketing practice. Key tasks will include team leadership, establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients, developing and administering Search and Digital account strategy, development of POVs for internal / external partners, mentoring of junior staff and championing a test/learn innovation culture.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

40% - Steward and develop practice.
  • Engineer and refine best in class SEM practice, inclusive of:
    • Technical expertise
    • Operational expertise
    • Client management responsibilities
    • Thought leadership

  • Continue to drive organic and new business growth
  • Help champion team recruiting and retention efforts
  • Maintain a great and robust team culture

20% - Lead key relationship(s) on behalf of Search team.
  • Identify and steward key client relationships, where additional leadership is needed
  • Develop strong rapport with key technology and design partners
  • Champion team agenda with internal stakeholders at Horizon

20% - Drive new business engagements.
  • Drive new business from RFP completion, strategy development, prospective client pitch through transition to Horizon management

20% - Team management.
  • Manage direct reports to drive optimal output
  • Maintain a great and robust team culture

Supervisory Responsibilities

In this position, you will directly manage Directors, Associate Directors, Managers, and Analyst-level team members.

Knowledge and Skills Required
  • 10+ years' experience directly related to Search Engine Marketing (Google, Yahoo!, Bing, etc.) with a focus on direct response campaigns (CPA, CPL, ROI, ROAS.)
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to articulate clearly and effectively over the phone, through email, and in writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong command / expertise in managing bid optimization platforms (DART Search, Kenshoo, Marin.)
  • Advanced MS Excel fluency required (pivot tables, charts, vlookup, sumifs.)
  • Experience in leveraging site analytics programs for SEM analysis / insights (Google Analytics, Omniture, CoreMetrics.)
  • Bachelor's degree

Salary Range
$195,000.00 - $235,000.00

A successful applicant's actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure/certifications, and equity.
