What you'll do As part of our strategic expansion in Nashville, Royal® Truck Body (A Shyft Brand) is seeking a Territory Account Manager to get new business and tend to the needs of our loyal customer base.
Your primary focus as Territory Account Manager will be to build and nurture relationships with truck dealers, distributors, and fleet customers in the Nashville market and surrounding states, including new chassis pools to expand dealer sales and support.
This state-of-the-art, purpose-built 70,000-square-foot facility will serve as a regional sales and service operations hub for our new steel XP Service Body and will offer services for upfit, mounting, fabrication, undercoat, and paint services for our service body and accessory brands including Royal® Truck Body, DuraMag®, Magnum™ and police car upfit and light accessories from Strobes-R-Us.
You will also:
- Maintain control over your assigned territories through developing strong customer relationships
- Manage all fleet accounts and build additional business through up-selling to current customers
- Visit all dealerships, verify dealerships' current inventory, and suggest replacement inventory
- Actively participate in trade shows, company open houses, golf tournaments, and other trade show events
- Document sales quotes for dealer inventory and units sold
- Follow up with Production colleagues regarding the status of open orders
- Provide dealerships with marketing brochures and sales tools
- Ensure prompt and careful handling of customer complaints and warranty issues
- Meet regularly with end users and large fleet accounts to spec out vehicles and bodies
- Call aftermarket vendors to get specifications and pricing information for quotations

What you need to be successful - High School Diploma or GED
- Associate's degree or 2-year degree in a business or technical field, or equivalent sales experience in lieu of a degree
- Successful expertise working in an Outside or Inside Sales Representative capacity
- Knowledge of the automotive parts aftermarket
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Solid data entry skills including familiarity with MAS200 or a related system
- Typing speed of 45 wpm or greater
- A track record of exceptional customer service
