Technical Project Manager / Java (On-site) Cognizant’s Digital Engineering Our practice is seeking a highly qualified Technical Project Manager with experience developing and building impactful, scalable, enterprise applications. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ (On-site) Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Responsibilities • Lead the engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions in the Cards and Payments domain. • Oversee the implementation of Agile methodologies to ensure efficient project management and delivery. • Provide technical guidance on Java 8 and Spring Boot Microservices to ensure robust and scalable application development. • Manage the integration of MySQL databases to support data-driven decision-making. • Utilize AWS services to ensure scalable and secure cloud-based solutions. • Implement DevOps practices to streamline the software development lifecycle and improve deployment efficiency. • Use Jira for project tracking and management to ensure timely delivery of projects. • Oversee the use of GIT for version control to maintain code integrity and collaboration. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with business objectives. • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in the Cards and Payments domain. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software quality and team productivity. • Mentor and develop team members to foster a culture of learning and growth. • Monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders to ensure transparency and accountability. Qualifications • Extensive experience in Jira for project management. • Demonstrate proficiency in Agile methodologies for efficient project delivery. • Have in-depth knowledge of Java 8 and Spring Boot Microservices for application development. • Show expertise in MySQL for database management. • Exhibit strong skills in AWS for cloud-based solutions. • Have a solid understanding of DevOps practices for streamlined development. • Be proficient in GIT for version control and collaboration. • Have domain expertise in Cards and Payments to ensure industry compliance. • Possess excellent leadership and team management skills. • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. • Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration.
