Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Industrial Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Palmdale, CA.

Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):

  • Integrates across the AS sector paint booth capacity, AFR processing and machine capability and periodics, ground support equipment capability and periodics.

  • Helps determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow and provides finite scheduling to manufacturing cost centers and IPTs.

  • Maintains datasets and generates metrics that provide for the measurement of program & functional schedule & cost performance.

  • Develops and deploys plans that ensure the timely availability and effective utilization of labor, facilities, equipment, & tooling resources enabling the achievement of program delivery and cost milestones.

  • Develops and summarizes analyses for the acquisition, maintenance & enhancement of capital assets and miscellaneous equipment. Plans plant, office, and production facilities and equipment layouts.

  • Provides capacity planning and rate tool analyses.

  • Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction and inventory control.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in science degree with 12 or more years of experience in any combination of industrial engineering, project management or data analysis experience; OR a Master’s in science degree with 10 or more years of experience in any combination of industrial engineering, project management or data analysis experience OR PhD with 9 or more years of experience in any combination of industrial engineering, project management and data analysis experience.

  • Must have an active in-scope DoD Secret security clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years.

  • Ability to interface/communicate with multiple levels of leadership, clients, and vendors.

  • Proficiency in MS Project, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.

  • Experience with large scale integration across multiple projects.

  • Experience with manpower planning.

  • Ability to travel at least 10%.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • STEM Degree (Science, Technical, Engineering or Mathematical).

  • Current Possession of Special Program Access.

  • Experience with schedule creation.

  • Capacity analysis experience.

Salary Range: $149,900 - $224,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
