Charm City Therapy is a Baltimore based pediatric multidisciplinary therapy center offering speech, occupational, and physical therapy. Located in a beautiful state of the art clinic in the heart of Owings Mills, we service children from birth until 21. **Job Title:** Clinic-Based Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist
**Position Overview:**
As a Clinic-Based Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to children with communication disorders within a multidisciplinary clinic setting. Working collaboratively with other clinicians and families, you will assess, treat, and support children with speech, language, and communication challenges to enhance their overall success and social interaction skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Assessment and Evaluation:**
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate child's speech and language abilities, including receptive and expressive language skills, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic language skills.
- Administer standardized tests, conduct informal observations, and collect relevant information from teachers and parents to determine child's communication strengths and areas of need.
2. **Individualized Treatment Planning:**
- Develop long and short term therapeutic goals.
- Design and implement evidence-based intervention strategies and therapy activities to address speech and language disorders, promote functional communication, and support academic achievement.
3. **Therapy and Intervention:**
- Provide direct therapy services individually to each child.
- Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques and resources, including articulation strategies, language games, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, and social skills training, to support child's communication development.
4. **Collaboration and Consultation:**
- Collaborate with team members to integrate speech and language goals into child's daily life.
- Provide consultation and training to caregivers regarding accommodations, modifications, and effective communication strategies.
5. **Progress Monitoring and Documentation:**
- Monitor students' progress towards IEP goals through ongoing assessment, data collection, and progress monitoring.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and communication with team members, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
**Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- State licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with children, families, educators, and other professionals.
- Proficiency in conducting speech and language assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing evidence-based intervention strategies.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with best practices in pediatric speech therapy.
**Working Conditions:**

- Requires mobility within the clinic environment, including navigating treatment rooms, hallways, and therapy spaces.
