Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. The SRE will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our systems and services. This role requires a blend of software engineering and operations skills to develop and maintain systems that are resilient, efficient, and secure. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automating processes, solving complex problems, and enhancing our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• System Reliability and Performance:
  • Design, build, and maintain highly reliable and scalable systems and services.
  • Monitor system performance and availability, ensuring uptime meets service level objectives (SLOs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve system reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Incident Management and Response:
  • Lead and participate in incident response activities, including troubleshooting and resolving outages or service degradations.
  • Develop and refine incident response processes, including on-call rotations and post-incident reviews.
  • Create and maintain runbooks, documentation, and incident reports.
• Automation and Infrastructure Management:
  • Automate routine tasks, deployments, and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and system updates.
  • Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address issues.
• Capacity Planning and Scaling:
  • Perform capacity planning and ensure infrastructure can handle current and future workloads.
  • Develop strategies for scaling services and systems in response to changing demands.
  • Conduct performance tuning and optimization of systems and applications.
• Collaboration and Improvement:
  • Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy reliable and scalable applications.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on reliability and performance considerations.
  • Advocate for and drive continuous improvement in operational practices and system reliability.
• Security and Compliance:
  • Ensure systems adhere to security best practices and comply with industry regulations and standards.
  • Implement security controls and perform regular security assessments and audits.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or a related role.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.) and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
• Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
