Job Description

LHH is seeking a motivated Senior Tax Accountant for a company in Plano. They work a hybrid schedule (3 days' in-office, 2 days' work-from-home) but the work schedule will offer more consistent flexibility post-training.

This position pays 90K-95K+Bonus.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Preparing tax return forms 1040, 1120, 1120s, 1065 for clients.
• Experience in preparing multi state tax returns for business clients.
• Review bank reconciliations (monthly or quarterly), review general ledger transactions, make adjustments as needed, update fixed assets software to assist in the preparation of business tax returns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with professionalism and good communication skills with clients.
• Apply defined practices, procedures, and company policies to troubleshoot and resolve tax advice and assisting client inquiries
• Must be teachable with a positive attitude and be a team player.
• Experience working in a public accounting firm is a plus.

• Ability to write clearly and persuasively, for tax professionals and business executives
• Ability to work independently without close supervision but also work collectively with others and lead in a team-based environment
• Interest in and capable of learning new substantive areas of tax law

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Preferred 3-5 years of progressive tax experience
• CPA or actively pursuing CPA
