Job Description

Role: Senior Scrum Master/Product Owner

Location: Charlotte, NC (Onsite)

Type: Contract

Project Details:

  • Microservice development, event streaming Kafka with AVRO, distributed processing orchestration on platform PCF & TKGI cloud, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, SQL Server databases.
  • Java, Spring, Hibernate, JPA, Apigee, Orchestra, TDD, BDD, Angular, React, Circuit Breaker, Feature Toggle / Harness, Grafana, Apigee, Liquibase, Blue-Green deployment.

Job Description:

  • Support Agile delivery that provides business value and delivers quality results ensuring alignment and adherence to Wells Fargo Agile practices, managing capacity and mitigating risk.
  • Facilitate the Scrum Agile ceremonies for the teams.
  • Ensure the flow of work is systemically managed to effectively and efficiently deliver value, including partnering with Product Owner to ensure a healthy backlog.
  • Perform and share regular Agile team health checks and enable the team to incorporate targets into continuous improvement goals.
  • Protect the team from distractions and support the resolution of their impediments so they can focus on their commitments and maximize the benefit of the team's performance potential.
  • Facilitate team events, engaging team members while promoting productivity and addressing impediments.
  • Works with Product Owner to communicate delivery of work product from the delivery team and escalates key risks and issues impeding delivery team effectiveness.
  • Establishing, communicating, and monitoring product-area goals and performance indicators.
  • Facilitating frequent collaboration between stakeholders.
  • Actively owning the prioritization of a clearly understood product area backlog aligned to product area vision and goals.
  • Coordinating with other product owners in service of the customer experience.
  • Defining and refining user stories, including business readiness stories, ensuring acceptance criteria is clearly understood by the team.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all known work is added to the backlog and made transparent.
  • Maintain a healthy backlog of items that are linked appropriately (Story Feature Epic).
  • Accepting user stories after they have met the acceptance criteria and the definition of done.
  • Actively participating in all product area events.
  • Identifying and resolving sequencing and prioritization conflicts across products and product areas.
  • Inspiring and leading high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Being available to the team to answer questions and address escalated impediments.
  • Maintaining continuous and cadenced communication with the product manager and delivery teams
  • Coordinating with business analysts, delivery coordinators, POs, and supporting roles that are shared across delivery teams.

  • Strong risk management leadership skills
  • Strong dependency management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership
  • Ability to influence and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Experience working with and leading delivery teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussion to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead
  • Experience with Agile practices, and frameworks (e.g., Kanban, Scrum, etc.) and workflow, and collaboration tools, such as Confluence, and Jira
