Senior Product Designer
(Hybrid - New York or San Jose, CA)

Responsibilities

• Attending meetings, working closely with PMs to review product strategy and look at it from a user point of view to determine if it makes sense or if other things within product should be prioritized.
• Working closely with developers - understanding what technical limitations might be at times.
• Using design systems and interfacing with design systems teams (weekly critique session, presenting to management, helping PMs).
• Close collaboration with UX research and content design.
• Will present to team members, so have good speaking skills, and exceptional communication skills.
• Knowing how to use and prototype in Figma.
• Will be the only designer on the team, so there might be a learning curve if the candidate is used to working on a team with multiple designers.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10+ years of experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or related roles.
• Working with Native apps (particularly Apple).
• Figma skills and working with design systems.
• Exceptional communication skills, ability to defend your designs & knowing how to compromise.
• Financial industry experience (very nice to have)
• Exceptional presentation skills and ability to communicate effectively.
• Mentoring experience (will need to mentor junior developers).
• Experience working for large institutions.
