Job Description Nordstrom is seeking a Senior Allocator to join our Inventory Positioning Team. We own the placement of inventory and position inventory closest to the customer for all journeysin store and online. The Sr. Allocator will be responsible for understanding the functional and technical design of JDA Allocation and Assortment Builder (Allocation suite). An Inventory Deployment Specialist/Sr. Allocator requires a complex understanding of the JDA Allocation "need calculation", creation and use, as well as deep understanding of the buy process. This candidate should also be highly collaborative as they will partner closely with a variety of cross functional teams.
This role is considered hybrid. Candidates must be willing to work in office at Nordstrom's headquarters in Seattle, WA a minimum of 3 days/week. A day in the life... - Act as a Subject Matter Expert within the Inventory Deployment suite; continue to develop proficiency
- Train, coach and mentor all applicable partners in the people, process and technology groups within Inventory Deployment
- Support ongoing evolution for the discipline of Inventory Deployment; participate in the creation, testing, and refinement of Inventory Deployment tools to enhance process and outcomes
- Demonstrate the ability to style flex based on audience in order to communicate effectively
- Proactively look for opportunities and advocate for solutions to ensure processes will support the business needs
- Partner with the business on complex retail business requirements/needs in order to drive results
- Contribute to standard practice creation and refinement
- Show flexibility to support the business amidst changing priorities
You own this if you have... - Bachelor's degree in Merchandising or related field preferred
- Minimum 3 years' Allocation or related experience required
- JDA knowledge a plus
- Strong analytical skills - both quantitative and qualitative
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Experience supporting a high-sales volume category (high SKU count, heavy seasonality, high revenue through demand planning/forecasting, replenishment and/or allocation
- Effective listening, communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization
- Strong training and facilitation skills
- Outstanding collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast paced, continuously evolving, and at times ambiguous environment

Pay Range Details The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 Annually
This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
