Job Description

Southern Highlands Reserve is looking for a Scrum Master to join our team in our office remotely. The Scrum Master will lead the team and acts as a product owner. This person is responsible for delegating tasks appropriately, encouraging collaboration, and coordinating the correct deliverables in a timely manner.

The ideal candidate is tactful and passionate about helping others. This person will lead by example and influence the team to share experiences with their peers. The ideal Scrum Master has a comprehensive understanding of scrum methodology and its guiding principles. He/she will ensure the entire team supports the implemented Scrum process and coach the team members on Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities: 

• Project management – Manage each project's scope and timeline to meet all deadlines and deliverables. Work with product owners to handle backlog and new requests. Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles as they arise. Ensure quality standards have been met. Create a productive environment where team members feel ownership of their work and the product.
• Coordination – Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups. Help teams implement changes effectively
• Lead – Coach team members as questions or issues come up. Guide development teams to a higher scrum maturity.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Business or similar field is required
• Excellent knowledge of Scrum techniques
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• A Scrum Master certification is a plus
• Resourceful and courteous to all associates
