Position Summary

The Power BI Specialist will play a key role in supporting our Fortune 500 Energy client’s Energy Orchestration teams by designing and implementing robust visualization tools that drive actionable insights and enhance decision-making. The initial focus will be the development of dashboards and reporting tools to support financial portfolio management across programs. The role will expand to include integration of Power BI with project execution tools such as Jira to create dynamic visual management systems, progress tracking dashboards, and information radiators for internal stakeholders and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI dashboards for portfolio-level financial planning, forecasting, and variance tracking.
• Create scalable data models and pipelines to support cross-functional reporting needs.
• Collaborate with product managers and finance partners to align reporting tools with budget processes and capital planning cycles.
• Integrate Power BI with Jira and other project management tools to support project execution insights.
• Develop dashboards for real-time tracking of project progress, milestone status, and Agile delivery metrics.
• Provide ongoing maintenance, refinement, and performance optimization of dashboards.
• Train team members and stakeholders on the use of Power BI tools and reporting interfaces.
• Support ad-hoc data visualization requests from Energy Orchestration leadership and program owners.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing Power BI dashboards and data models in a professional setting.
• Proficiency in DAX, Power Query, and data transformation techniques.
• Experience integrating Power BI with tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or other project management systems.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across business, finance, and technical teams.
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, intuitive visualizations that drive decision making
