Job Description

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Stanford University is seeking is seeking a 1.0 Full Time Employee to join the department at the Assistant, Associate, or Professor rank on the Clinician Educator Line (CE). The candidate is enthusiastic, experienced, highly skilled, and motivated podiatrist specializing in diagnosing, treating, and managing conditions related to the forefoot and midfoot.

The candidate will be based at the outpatient clinic and surgery center, where they will carry out routine podiatric medicine responsibilities. We expect the successful candidate to have significant clinical and teaching activity.

The major criteria for appointment for faculty in the Clinical Educators Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of leadership potential, clinical care, teaching, administrative and/or scholarly activity, and institutional service. Academic line/rank will be determined by qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. The successful applicant should be eligible for a California Medical License.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose podiatric conditions, focusing on the forefoot and some midfoot
  • Develop and implement treatment plans for these patients. Some patients will have diabetic foot disorders, peripheral vascular disease, wound care, and trauma. Patients will be outpatient and inpatient.
  • Collaborate with orthopaedic and vascular surgery colleagues and the Advanced Wound Care Center
  • Educate patients and their families about foot health, disease prevention, and postoperative care
  • Stay current with advancements in podiatric medicine
Qualifications:
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from an accredited institution
  • Board certification or eligibility in Podiatric Surgery
  • Commitment to providing exceptional patient-centered care
  • Compassionate attitude towards patients, with a strong emphasis on comfort and education
The expected base pay range for this position is: $200,000-$310,000
