Mulesoft Developer

6-12 Month Contract

Chicago, IL (1 day in office, 4 days remote)

Overview:

Brooksource is seeking a talented Integration Developer to join our client who is a leader in the Retail Real Estate Industry. We are looking for an innovative, highly-competent individual to help strengthen our client’s IT Integrations Team. As a Mulesoft Integrations Developer, you will help design, develop, implement and support technology strategies and solutions to drive business growth. This role’s primary focus will help grow the Shared Fulfillment Center Program. The ideal candidate will have experience in system and Mulesoft application integrations, as well as APIs, web services, and web application development. You will be asked to grow with the team while introducing new ideas and development best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with business partners, understand needs, and translate them into tech driven solutions.
• Responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining key functions within our application portfolio, from layout to function and according to customer’s specifications.
• Participate in Agile release cycles as part of a team, providing recommendations on software design that capitalize on the strengths and capabilities of our technology stack.
• Working in our MuleSoft integration environment and using REST APIs and Java development tools, build and test integration and web-based applications.
• Participate in the maintenance and troubleshooting of software in our production environment.
• Troubleshoot integration or mapping failures to resolution while identifying root causes.
• Evaluate emerging technology for applicability to business and technical requirements.
• Follow secure development practices and evaluate platforms for security risks and vulnerabilities.
• Promote company values and be a role model in the department.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other IT related fields.
• 5+ years of experience as a Developer with API’s and Mulesoft
• Experience designing and developing enterprise services using RAML in Mule, REST based APIs, SOAP Web Services and use of different mule connectors
• Well versed in application development with hands-on Java programming experience.
• Good knowledge of SOAP/REST based integrations using JSON and XML.
• Experience with MuleSoft or other major integration platforms in the market (e.g., Talend, Jitterbit, TIBCO, Dell Boomi, etc.) is a plus.
• Knowledge of CI/CD development practices and Agile methodology.
• General SQL knowledge including data design and querying functions.
• Good grasp of security principles and how they apply to application development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
