**Essential Functions****:**

* Interviews, hires, trains, and develops employees. Motivates employees, assists in goal setting, provides development opportunities and performance feedback, addresses complaints and provides resolutions.

* Serves as a technical expert for designs and constructions to ensure quality design process compliance with current IBC codes and ADA regulations.

* Interfaces with client, internal department(s)/team(s), vendor(s), and/or city to manage changes and approvals to ensure project is on schedule and within budget; obtains construction permits/approvals as necessary.

* Creates various documents such as blueprints, project plans, progress reports, inventory reports, project request forms, field measures, and sketches/documents of existing site condition floor plans, presentations, and client boards.

* Reviews and approves all work performed to ensure compliance with all codes and standards.

* Maintains current knowledge of California building protocols and safety codes. Delivers and updates designs compliant to current IBC codes and ADA regulations.

* Guides team to research materials, color palettes, fabrics, furniture, lighting, wall/ceiling materials, flooring, plumbing fittings/fixtures, and accessories for development of standardized corporate material library and project submittals.

* Manages digital database of floor plans for all company facilities on continuous basis; provides department with database to ensure designs stay ahead of schedule and within budget.

* Reviews and plans space allocation for departments and facilities with effective execution.

* Develops and executes project plans and delivery commitments. Communicates project status, delays, or any discrepancies that may affect business initiatives to management and stakeholders.

* Researches bids from external vendors to determine best quality and pricing for designated project.

* Provides complete, accurate, detailed, and approved construction documents to appropriate teams (i.e., Project Management, Millwork, etc.).

* Creates various documents such as project plans, progress reports, inventory reports, and project request

* Collaborates with stakeholders and division head to translate product visions, business cases and user experiences into technical requirements, scopes development efforts, and assigns resources to execute against prioritized product roadmaps.

* Keeps abreast of new technology, legal requirement, trends, and makes recommendations. Implements improvements/upgrades as necessary.

* Creates and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for department process and procedures.

* Performs other related duties and projects as business needs require at the direction of management.

**Education and Experience:**

* Bachelors degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.

* Minimum of eight (8) years of interior design or related experience.

* Minimum of five (5) years of related design/project management experience.

* Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience.

* Previous experience with Autodesk Revit required.
