Interior Design Assistant Category: Interior Design Location: New York Job Description Jayne Design Studio is looking for a full-time Interior Design Assistant, with a minimum of two years working experience in the field, to aid our principal designers with high-end residential projects across the country from our New York office.
The responsibilities of the position will include working on multiple projects from conception to completion. This will include sourcing materials and furnishings, coordinating orders and deliveries and maintaining schedules and budgets.
We are a small office, so overall assistance with day to day tasks, both minor and important, will be key. This position requires an organized, hardworking individual with a strong knowledge of quality materials, vendors, Excel and AutoCad.
Candidates should have a passion for the best interior design and a willingness and desire to learn.
Job Requirements - 2+ year experience at a high end design firm
- Strong computer skills especially with Microsoft Office, Excel and AutoCAD
- Ideally experience with Design Manager or comparable design program
- Excellent organizational and communication skills are important
- Willingness to play a key part in a small office, from the simplest tasks to the most important
