Purpose of Position
This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Work as an on-demand French tutor for UND students enrolled in French
* Assist with French cultural activities and cultural displays, the French Club, Study Abroad Fair, Student Organization Fair, etc
* Help make French program advertisements
* Replace Dr. Mosher and Dr. Meyer in their classes when they are away for conferences/research
* Help with grading and in-class conversation/activities in French 101-202

Minimum Requirements
* Intermediate/advanced knowledge of French and English
* Must be willing/able to check his/her UND email account daily and respond to emails from Dr. Mosher, Dr. Meyer, and students in French seeking tutoring
* Must have accepted a Federal Work Study award from the Office of Student Finance
* Enrolled in a minimum of 6 credits for the employed academic semester
In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire. This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Previous study abroad or time spent living in a French-speaking area is helpful but not required
* French major/minor is preferred
* Technology skills are preferred, as well as experience with graphic design (making pamphlets and advertisements)
