Looking to hire a talented Director of Human Resources to lead our Northeast Business Unit based in Harrisburg, PA. This role will be a strategic partner for the Business Unit leadership team and partner with Corporate resources (i.e. Total Rewards, IT, Talent Acquisition, L&D, etc.)
Director of Human Resources Responsibilities: - Partner with the Northeast Business Unit President to translate their business unit/functional priorities into talent implications that are key to improving the overall effectiveness of the business.
- Lead HR processes such as organizational development and effectiveness, performance management, talent acquisition, career development, compensation, and positive employee relations.
- Talent Acquisition - Partner with the Corporate Talent Management Director to develop and execute strategies for full recruiting life cycle. Manage new employee onboarding process.Support the establishment of a coordinated college recruitment candidate program/channel.
- Talent Development - Work with managers to develop individual development plans / career pathing; assist with development and deployment of entry-level and mid-career pipeline development programs; partner with the functional leadership to continuously evaluate, develop and upgrade the organization as identified in annual talent management process.
- Compensation & Organization Effectiveness - Drive annual non-executive compensation and talent management planning; partner with Compensation to conduct benchmarking as required.
- HR Advisor - Proactively engage in coaching and counseling conversations with managers and employees. Counsel and/or coach employees and managers regarding employee relations issues including performance management, facilitation of formal/informal complaints to resolution.
- Culture Champion - Provide leadership in, and promotion of, a positive company culture by being an advocate for employees while achieving a balance with company goals.
- Driving HR Initiatives - Support Corporate HR leadership in the development and deployment of HR functional process improvements across all divisional and functional lines.
- Potential M&A - Assist in acquisitions - due diligence and effective integration.
Director of Human Resources Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in either Human Resources or a business-related field required; Masters degree is a plus.
- 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources management with demonstrated competencies in Recruitment, Compensation, Employee Relations, Performance Management, and Legal Compliance.
Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated success translating business strategies into organizational and HR strategies & actions at an HR Manager level or above.
- He/she should be someone who is sought out for their opinion and advice and who can forge and maintain close relationships across all constituencies.
- Self-motivated; bias for action; strong decision making.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Strong background in change management processes and facilitation of change.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Ability to influence, collaborate, and manage with employees at all levels and functions.
- Results oriented; proven ability to follow through while handling multiple and competing priorities.
