Job Description

Corus Academy, a division of Corus Health, is seeking a dedicated and qualified Director of Clinical Education (BSN) to provide thorough, patient-focused nursing education to our partner skilled nursing facilities throughout the state of New Mexico. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and the ability to educate and inspire potential CNA and Med Aide candidates, as well as provide continuing education for nursing staff. The Director of Clinical Education is also responsible for assisting the Executive Director with scheduling, confirming, and communicating with our partner facilities regarding classes as well as managing budgets, building additional educational programs, and marketing programs with existing and future partnerships.

Requirements

Skills & Requirements:

Current, unencumbered RN License
Bachelor's Degree required
Detail-oriented and organized
2+ years of experience in SNF/LTC or sub-acute care setting strongly preferred
Background in staff development or nurse education preferred
Knowledge and understanding of the state and federal guidelines and regulations specific to skilled and long-term care nursing services
Excellent interpersonal skills with a dedication and commitment to providing quality healthcare services in a resident-focused environment
Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Expertise in wound care terminology, interventions, skin assessments
Ability to effectively communicate, educate, and support the growth and development of our nursing staff
