Weekly Hours: 32.00

Salary Range: $25.50 - $38.50

Your Responsibilities as an Endoscopy Educator

• Educate patients prior to GI and pulmonary procedures through phone, written communication, and MyChart.
• Collect vital information from patients regarding their medical history, medications, labs, and diagnostic studies.
• Answer patient inquiries about upcoming procedures via phone.
• Conduct post-operative follow-up calls to ensure patient well-being.
• Adhere to department policies and protocols related to endoscopic procedures.
• Collaborate with the endoscopy procedural and scheduling teams to coordinate patient appointments.

This position offers a balanced work schedule of 4 days a week, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM in a supportive office environment.

Job Summary

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will utilize the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation—to provide individualized care to our patients. Your role will involve:

• Coordinating care and conducting patient assessments.
• Providing patient education and triage.
• Collaborating with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan and evaluate care.
• Practicing within the full scope of nursing expertise and adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (preferred) such as AACN, ACEN, or NLN CNEA.
• Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
• Current unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing or multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
• Maintain required department-specific licensure, competencies, and certifications.
