Apos product specialist is involved in physically assisting patients with their APOS device and responsible for calibration. Product specialist attends appointments with patients at their homes or place of work and ensures that patients receive their custom calibrated medical device. This position will provide skills to continue your career with AposHealth® as we double our size each year.

JOB NATURE 

Product specialist will calibrate Apos® devices and ensure great customer service when delivering Apos®. Product specialist will support the operations of Apos® internal teams as well as external partners. Apos product specialist will be visiting patients at home and patient’s place of work and will be guided clinically by Apos® Physical Therapist. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Responsible for inventory necessary for patient’s home visits. 

  • Communicates with Apos Team and patients over the phone/text/email. 

  • Commutes to patient’s homes. 

  • Sets up, troubleshoots, and maintains all equipment, including video systems before and during at home patient care.  

  • Physically assists patients with their APOS device (putting on and off). 

  • Keeps records, including expenses and clinical information. 

  • Use EMR(Athena) for record keeping. 

  • Familiar with benefit verification 

  • Supports remote clinical staff with hand on patient care. 

  • Provides outstanding customer service.  

  • Have functional knowledge of the day’s schedule and thorough inventory of the supplies and equipment required for the day’s treatment. 

  • Performs other duties as required. 

Required Skills and abilities: 

  • Preferred: More than 1 year of experience in healthcare. 

  • Knowledge of Spanish is a plus. 

  • Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings. 

  • Provide technical support. 

  • Ability to travel locally  

  • Maintain professional demeanour towards patients, visitors, and families. 

  • Follow clinical directions administered remotely. 

  • Demonstrate empathy and compassion when communicating with patients. 

  • MS Office suite proficiency 

  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail. 

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. 

  • May participate in special projects as requested by company management. 

  • Able to lift, push, and slide packages that weigh up to 50 lbs 

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, driving, and working on a computer. 

Requirements: 

  • Experienced healthcare or wellness professional (for example: Personal trainer, Athletic Trainer, Exercise physiology, Physical Therapist Aid, etc.) 

  • Located in the Boston area

  • Active Driver’s license and reliable vehicle  

  • Ability to travel and flexibility with scheduling.(late evenings, weekends, overnight coverage)

WORK ENVIRONMENT 

Work from events organized by Apos, patients’ homes, and some remote hours. Some local travel to patients, clinics, business events and associates as needed. Occasionally it may be required to work outside of business hours and perform under time pressure to accomplish strict deadlines. Travel by car is required. Occasional out-of-state travel may be required.
