Job Title: Business Process Consultant

Job Location: Tallahassee, FL (on-site)

Job Duration: Contract through June + extension

Job Tasks and Activities:

• Perform in-depth systems process analysis and design.
• Develop new processes to improve efficiency.
• Identify gaps in processes, develop measures for process performance, and transition to improve practices in the program area.
• Serve as the program areas technical expert by providing strategic guidance to leadership on the future use of technology and process improvements.
• Ensure solutions align with both current and future program goals.
• Assist in the planning and prioritization of business process engineering activities.
• Integrate business unit goals with department objectives.
• Ensure defined processes are communicated and assist businesses in understanding process flows.

Required Experience:

• Minimum of seven (7) years in IT, with at least four (4) years in process engineering and two (2) years in project management.
• Certification in process improvement methodologies and demonstrated proficiency in methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen, including a certification (such as Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt).
• Strong skills in mapping out business processes, identifying bottlenecks, and analyzing inefficiencies.
• Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, and/or specialized business process modeling tools (e.g., Business Process Model and Notation [BPMN] software like Bizagi or ARIS).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Proven leadership and motivational skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Familiarity with regulatory standards relevant to the corrections industry (e.g., The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 [HIPAA], Criminal Justice Information Security {CJIS] standards, etc.).
• Experience in designing processes that comply with industry-specific standards.
