CEO Shondell Lloyd was inspired and introduced to the rebar business at a very young age by his father, a hard-working man who began working in the rebar industry in 1973 and pioneered entrepreneurship during a time when very few people of color took that initiative. For almost a decade prior to 2001, Shondell Lloyd worked hands-on along beside his father who was a member of the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Iron Workers Union, which he encouraged his son to join in 1995. With an example as such, Lloyd did just that. He took his passion very seriously putting great effort and diligence into the quality of work produced and the satisfaction of his customers. Entrepreneurship was the key to financial freedom and it placed Lloyd in control of his own destiny
